A Pilgrimage, Not a Tour

Close the agricultural year with gratitude.
Witness Mexico’s deepest faith tradition.
Arrive at dawn. Changed.

Every year

Every year

Mexico’s agricultural cycle closes
in late November, early December.

The harvest is done.
The earth rests.

And millions of Mexicans make pilgrimage
to thank the Virgin of Guadalupe.

Some walk 100 kilometers.
Some crawl on their knees.
All arrive with the same intention:
Gratitude. Faith. Renewal.

LUPITA MI MAMI CHULA invites you to witness this.
Not as a tourist. As a participant.

THE JOURNEY:

10:00pm – Estela de Luz
We begin with ceremony.

A circle. Candles. Silence.
We give thanks for what this year brought.
We release what no longer serves.

We set our intention:
To walk humbly. To observe deeply.
To arrive with gratitude.

──────────────────────────────────────

11:00pm – Midnight
We ride through sleeping Mexico City.

From Reforma’s monuments to Santa Fe’s towers.
From wealth to faith.
From modernity to tradition.

At a high point in Santa Fe, we stop.
Look down at the city below.

The same city where, right now,
thousands are walking in the dark.
Not for tourism. For devotion.

We observe the contrast.
We don’t judge. We feel it.

──────────────────────────────────────

2:30am – Villa de Guadalupe
We arrive at the edge.

We leave our bikes.
We join the pilgrims on foot.

For the final kilometers, we are them.
Walking. Observing. Feeling.

──────────────────────────────────────

5:30am – Sunrise
The Basilica glows.

Thousands of people reach their destination.
Some cry. Some sing. Some collapse in relief.

You witness what faith looks like
when it’s real.

6:30am – Breakfast
Tamales and atole.

Not at a restaurant.
At the same stands where pilgrims eat.

You’re not separate from them.
You’re with them.

──────────────────────────────────────

7:00am – Return
Changed.

You close a circle.
You started with gratitude.
You end having witnessed the purest form of it.
